Movie Review: The Simpsons Movie

The Simpsons, the longest running primetime television series of all-time, just made a debut on the big screen, but before I talk about the movie, I'll just talk about the show a bit, the Simpsons where the best show in television, they went from the best to an honestly mediocre show during the thirteenth season, but that was not when the show started to struggle, it actually started to struggle during the ninth season, now here, in the move, after watching seasons nine to eighteen, I have to admit, there was light, the Simpsons movie was better than any Simpsons episode I have ever seen.
The movie had a great environmental concept, which was Simpsonized and turned into a funny idea, it's about Springfield put in a doam due to the high amount of pollution in lake Springfield, and guess who caused all this? Springfield was right on the edge until guess what? Homer dumped pig crap in the lake, that whole concept was hilarious, like the whole movie, the unique thing about this movie that it was non-stop fun, it did not get boring at all.
The movie had various funny concepts, such as Spider-Pig, Pig-Crap, President Shwartzenager was a hilarious idea as well, basically the whole movie made the cut, but of course, not all the credit goes to Homer and recurring characters, the scene when Bart was Skeat boarding naked was a huge laugh, as well as chief Wiggum's scene in lake Springfield was a huge laugh, and who could forget, 'Giant TV Man' or let's address him with his real name, Russ Cargail, was a funny addition to be the 'villain' for this movie had some great scenes as well.
The movie also had some very memorable quotes, such as 'Spider-Pig, Spider-Pig does whatever a Spider-Pig does' was a hilarious quote, also 'Thank the lord for this bountiful PENIS!', and Rod and Todd's prayer 'this bountiful penis… amen' was just a huge laugh, I literally teared from laughing after watching that scene.
The movie did not have any errors, but it did have some minor, shall we call it 'hiccups' such as Sideshow Bob not having any scene, and although there where allot of memories in the movie, there was too little screen time in Springfield's 'landmarks', such as 'The Quickie Mart', 'Moe's Tavern', 'Springfield Elementary School', and a few more, well the entire point is that I kinda expected some scenes in those places, seeing that it's a one hour and a half movie and all.
Without these very minor hiccups, the Simpsons movie was certainly a very fun and enjoyable ride, with many great jokes, scenes, and laughs that really take you back to the classics, let's hope future episodes stay this way.
