Album Review: Rehanna- Rated R

Through the year of 2009, music was improving, but to what limit? 2009 was improvement but to a certain degree, it did not reach the music quality of the first three years of the 21st century, but still it was close, but that's not what's being reviewed, this is just an introduction to the fairly mixed 'Rated R' album by Rehanna.
Rehanna's latest album definitely is subjectable, it takes Rehanna to a darker place, as by what I understood from the lyrical content, but there were still some tracks, that are either lighter, or more sexual then the rest of the album.
As for the genral musical content, it's mixed, but if it came out in 2008, it would be one of the best of that year, but some albums of 2009 are far too good for this album to be in the list, out of 13 tracks. Maybe half of them are mixed, the stand out best of the album are 'Hard' which had great vocals by Rehanna, as well as a very strong verse by Young Jeezy, the album's first single, 'Russian Rolette' was also strong, other good tracks include 'Rude Boy', 'Rockstar 101' and 'Stupid in Love' which are all considered as second level tracks for the album.
There are also a few terrible tracks on the album, such as the track that had an old concept, which was repetitive, and mindless 'Te Amo' or the poor rhythmless 'Photographs' which features Will I Am, which did not do a very good job with the song, and as for most of the other tracks on the album, they where all mostly mixed.
Overall, a fair review for this album is to say that it was passable, a bit better than mediocre, but it certainly is not up to my expectations unfortionetly, but otherwise, this album is probably the best music I heard Rehanna do, so in my opinion, compared to her previous work, it's great, but compared to other artists is passable.
