Movie Review: The Karate Kid

Through out what I've seen this summer so far, out of the three movies(Iron Man 2, Toy Story 3, and the Karate Kid) I'd say that the Karate Kid is the worst, but that does not stop it from being a fun and enjoyable movie.
The Karate Kid stars Jaden Smith, son of Will Smith, and Jackie Chan, they both did great jobs, but I have to admit Jaden Smith started in a low note, but he made up for it later in the movie.
The first hour of the movie was boring, and not enjoyable, possibly one of my least favorite introductions in movie history, but that will effect more on the movie's negativity then 'Iron Man 2' or 'Toy Story 3', because in those two moves, the slow start was only for 10 to 20 minutes, while in the Karate Kid, it went for an entire hour, and that really effected on the movie's groove.
The movie really started to get interesting when Jackie Chan's character fought the bullies, that was an intensely effective scene, and finally set the movie onto it's feet.
There was also humor n the movie, there were some seriously hilarious comedic scenes in the movie, especially when Jackie Chan's character told Jaden Smith's character to constantly take off his jacket, put it on the rack, put it on the floor, then pick it up, and put it on the rack again, that scene was funny, and it lead to some great fighting abilities.
The action in the movie was also great, the Karate fighting sequences really brought in energy for this movie, and it was also not like the usual Karate fighting that you see in cartoons either, meaning that it was not corny.
There was another minor negative n the movie, the plot was too predictable, any movie that has a predictable plot is not as enjoyable as the movies that have unpredictable plots, but that did not affect so much on the movie's quality.
Overall, the movie may be the worst summer movie I've seen so far, but it certainly is more enjoyable then summer movie's I've seen last year, with one major error, and for one minor error, the movie did well, but I think it could have done better.
