Movie Review: Shrek Forever After

Shrek Forever After is the fourth, and final installment to the Shrek movie franchise, a franchise that definitely had allot of struggles, repetitive plots and stories, and a number of un-funny jokes, most of the problems that this franchise faced where mostly in the third, the first and second Shrek movies where great, but the third Shrek lost the franchise's touch, it took the Shrek series to a darker and weaker side, but after the third Shrek movie, the fourth and final Shrek came out, giving the Shrek series some much needed light, although it was not nearly as entertaining as the first and second Shrek movie.
This Shrek movie goes into a different story line, different from a plot that included saving the princes or something like that, I consider that as one of the main hallmarks of the movie, because they tried a new idea for the Shrek series, but the problem with that idea is that it was very predictable, when Shrek finds out that he has 24 hours until he disappears, we all would know that at the end of the movie Shrek gets his way and 'lives happily ever after', predictable movies are okay, but the problem with this movie is that it was too predictable.
The movie was also kinda funny, it had some great jokes, but not as much jokes, or jokes that where as funny as the jokes in the first and second movie, there were a few entertaining scenes as well, but however, some of these scenes had background music that did not fit in with the scenes in the movie.
The movie also had some stupid scenes, such as a scene where witches where dancing in a disco place, that scene really brought some heavy stupidity to the movie, but some of the good scenes in the movie made the stupid scenes a bit forgettable.
Another problem with the movie was some of the weak and stupid characters, such as that flout playing bounty hunter, that was probably one of the dumbest characters I've seen in a movie, but at least some of the great usual characters in the movie managed to cover up some of the mistakes of those weak characters.
I think this Shrek movie really did shed some light after the third movie, but however, it's not enough light to get the movie up to the quality of the first and second Shrek movies, the movie actually shed enough light to give us a good memory of the Shrek series, although the movie did have some stupid scenes, some weak characters, a few unfunny jokes, and a predictable plot, but the positives in the movie where good enough to make this a fair movie.
