Album Review: Jay-Z- The Blueprint 3
Jay-Z is a rapper, like all rappers, he releases albums, but not twelve albums, the Blueprint 3 is Jay-Z's twelfth solo album, his return from a one year retirement, i actually hoped that this time his return from retirement would actually bring him back, it partly did, but it's not what i hoped for.
The Blueprint 3 is the album following 'Kingdom Come', and 'American Gangster' the two lowest albums in Jay-Z's career, and the Blueprint 3 is to say at least, somewhat a comeback, not a complete comeback, but it's not a very good comeback.
The Blueprint 3 is a group of 16 tracks, almost each track has a guest appearencre, the only ones that don't are 'D.O.A', 'Thank You' and 'Venus Vs. Mars' two of these three songs are great, but 'Venus Vs. Mars' Sucked.
There are a few great collaborations, Jay-Z worked with Kanye West and Rehanna in 'Run This Town' which was my favorite on the album, he also worked with Alisha Keas on 'Empire State of Mind' another very solid track.
There are also bad collaborations, such as 'Hate' which features Kanye West, and 'Forever Young' a track which features Mr.Hundson was also boring, otherwise most the album was eather mixed or decent.
Another thing that i did not enjoy from the album was Jay-Z's annoying 'augh' sound, what does Jigga mean by that?
Overall, i think it's hard to predict weather Jay-Z's next project will improve especially because the Blueprint 3 is a slow improvement from his last two albums, well, at least a mixed album is better than a failing album.
